Meet Karen Battle
What is your craft of choice? I love sewing anything. At this point I am doing a lot of quilting, making bags and machine embroidery.
How long have you been doing this? I have been sewing for over 50 years.
What inspired you to start? I fell in love with sewing when I was in 7th grade home economics class. I also had a neighbor who was a seamstress who helped me with more complex projects.
Do you work with your own designs or enjoy patterns? I use patterns most of the time.
What is your favorite notion? Wonder Clips, Floriani stabilizers, and Flatter starch free smoothing spray.
What is your favorite brand of fabric? I love sewing with Kaffe Fassett, cork, Moda Grunge and African fabrics.
Do you enjoy music, audiobooks, or movies in the background while you craft? When I am sewing, I enjoy watching HGTV or The Hallmark channel.
