WEEK 3: SEW SEVEN BLOCKS

We are humming right along with our tree block sewing. And some of you have gone the extra inch to display your block progress. We love it! See below in our community section.

We thought to share another fun idea for your tree blocks that you may wish to try—decorating them! For example, we took our solid bright green tree and added some hot pink garland to it by adding a chain stitch with embroidery floss.

You could also use glittery threads, like the Dazzle or Sizzle ones below from WonderFil. Ohh la la!

Or you could decorate with buttons, ric rac and ribbons, appliqué small ornaments from fussy cut fabric, stitch on some wool embellishments—there are so many options!

How would you decorate your tree? Tell us in the comments below.

NEED THE BLOCK PATTERN?

The block pattern is here: it's a free downloadable template from Cluck Cluck Sew!

  • I think sequins and beads would be a great addition to the trees! And, I spy Rae, @mopheaded1 dog in the pix! ❤️🐾😉
